Things that make you go hmmmm...

My good friend, Tayster has a blog. Today he made a post that hit the nail on the head for me. It has nothing to do with Scrapbooking, Making Cards, or being crafty... but it's another subject near and dear to my heart. Disney. Go check it out!

My Hubby is the best!

Cricut announced a new machine this last winter, the Cricut Expression. I got the chance to see it at Scrapbook USA, and at that point I had decided I could live without it. I was wrong.

So today I asked the hubby if I could go ahead and pre-order it and it would be my Mother's Day gift. He didn't even hesitate. But I believe his actual statement was, "Sure, I know tht you will just go get it anyway and it will save me the headache and stress of trying to get you something."

I'm just fine with that.

Expression, here I come! YAY! I will be pre-ordering it from Kim S. She is fabulous and sells cricut stuff at a discount. And, since she is an authorized Cricut dealer everything comes with a full warranty, whereas using ebay sellers doesn't.

YAY!

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week has been CRAZY for me.
Next week is teacher appreciation week and in the teacher's lounge we, (we being the PTA) are setting up a jar with M&M's in it. Whichever teacher guesses the closest will receive a $35 gift card to Office Max, and of course the jar of candy. Well, having the OCD that I have, I felt that we needed a cute box to put the gift card in, and that would also making harder to lose the gift card. I had this box already made, I just cut out an apple with my cricut, distressed it, and tied a ribbon around it. The gift card stands up inside the box.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and the theme is 'Thank you for making us grow". Our fabulous principal will be leaving us this year. So I wanted to make her a card. This is what I came up with. The paper is Wild Asparagus, and the paper from the photo corners are from DCVW paper and cut with my cricut. I made the tag with sizzix.

Happy Birthday Kristi

Today is my friend Kristi's birthday. This is the card I made for her. The flowers are from Bazzill and the red velour ribbon came from Making Memories along with the brad and jump rings. The other ribbon was purchased at Michaels. The paper is all from My Mind's Eye and I used the Cricut to cut the tags and the letter 'B'.

Grazie Marguerite

Tonight I have a cooking class from the Amazing Marguerite Henderson. So today I thought I would make her a card to say thank you for everything she has taught me. Here's what I came up with and I hope she likes it.
I used papers from My Minds Eye and flowers from Prima. The g was cut with the Cricut 'Base Camp' font.

Thanks

I have been itching to use this airplane cut from my Cricut Mickey and Friends cartridge. Here's what I came up with.

Kristi Loves Me!

As a thank you for making her those little cards Kristi sent me these beautiful flowers. I just thought I would show everyone what a great friend I have in Kristi. (Even though she is in trouble for sending me these, they are too much!)

Love you Kristi, and thanks!

Wow...

Once a month I host a 'Scrapbook Night' at my home. It's tonight! So... ever since Scrapbook USA on friday I have been super busy prepping for the big party tonight!

But I do have stuff to post, just can't right now.

Hopefully I will have time later, if not we will all have to wait until tomorrow.

Invitations for Kristi

My dear friend, Kristi is Girl's Camp Director this year. So she asked me if I would help her out by making some little cards to give the girls with the date of camp on them, and the camp theme.
Here's what I came up with for her. (The bandaid was her idea and I really liked how that turned out.)

Woah....

Tomorrow is Scrapbook USA, and I am going! So... tomorrow afternoon I should have some stuff to post provided I don't spend my whole time there shopping. Not that I would do that.

Anyway, there will be new stuff tomorrow. (Hopefully)

Another card from my Cricut

Have I mentioned how much I love the Disney Cartridges and how much I love my Cricut? ;)
Here's another one I made today. Since I am surrounded by boys both at home and in my extended family I am sure this card will come in handy!

Back at it...

Spring break was crazy. CRAZY. But I finally found some time to create something. These new Disney Cartridges for my Cricut have so many darling shapes. I saw this boat and thought it would make a cute baby card. So here it is. I still think it needs a little something, and hopefully I will figure out what that is!

Exploding Box for my Sister in Law

I have been asked to teach a class for my church on the 'Exploding Box". So, here is the box I made for my Sister in Law which is being used for my example box.

I used a Prima Flower for the topper, and made the tag with my Making Memories Tag Maker.

The distressing was done with 'Walnut Stain' distressing ink, and sanding.

Deja Moo!

I made this card for my friend, Dawn who is totally stressed out at work right now... and she loves cows. LOVES cows. In fact, on friday she asked me if my cricut could cut a cow, so over the weekend I made her this card. The inside says "The feeling that you've heard this Bull before!"
